VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

Volunteer Instructors
Volunteers of all ages, genders, professions, businesses, and vocations should be able to teach the program materials provided.
Instructor manuals provide all of the lesson plans needed to enable instructors to prepare and present course materials. JfL instructors Manual and Student Workbooks will be provided.
The JfL course is designed so that it can be taught by one individual or several instructors.
Volunteer Mentors
Mentors enter into a relationship with one or two students, helping the student(s) reach their God-given potential. We try to match mentors to the age, interests and gender of students. It is imperative that Mentors:
- Attend each scheduled class
- Encourage their student(s) to problem-solve classroom and life problems during the 10-15 week program and throughout their first year of employment. JfL provides a Mentor's Manual.
- Informally introduce and help each student (to the extent the student is agreeable) enter a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. A Bear Valley Church Mentor Notebook will be provided.

Volunteer Business Recruiters
Recruiters find local businesses to list job/career openings with DMJP. They interview qualified program graduates and organize student interviews.
They also assist Business Partners with their job-related class presentations such as employer roundtables, mock interviews, etc.
Volunteer Intercessors/Prayer Leaders
These Leaders recruit, coordinate, and lead a prayer team that is committed to pray generally and specifically throughout each class period. An example prayer time would be 2 times each week for 2 hours each time.
Intercessors will pray for students, mentors, businesses, intstructors, their families, the success of each JfL class, solutions for problems encountered, student and team member prayer requests, and for all components and people involved with JfL training.
